Glory Days Carol Premiere

    Glory Days is pleased to host the New Zealand premiere of Carol, on Tuesday 2nd February 8pm at the Academy Cinema in Auckland City.

A Glory Box is a chest, usually wooden, in which a collection of items that a young lady might need when she marries is curated. It is an Australian name for an item that elsewhere in the world is known as a hope or dowry chest and it typically includes items such as clothing (particularly a special dress), table linens, towels, bed linens, quilts and occasionally dishware. As a bride would typically leave home on marriage, hope chests and glory boxes were usually made with an eye to portability.

Though we certainly think modern women have moved a long way beyond needing to curate a bunch of things in a box to help them marry better and realise that we may be the last people you'd turn to for help if you were collecting for such a thing, we've decided to christen our Competition and Giveaway page, The Glory Box.
