The cast of Speakeasy Burlesque 2017
Constance CravingYour host, Constance Craving is a legend – like the dodo. A larger than life performer with a voice to match, she has been performing and emceeing long enough to know better. She has emceed burlesque and cabaret shows all over New Zealand. This year she had the honour of hosting NZ’s first group Burlesque competition, “Bling it On!” in Christchurch.
Constance also appears regularly in drag shows alongside other drag queens, and has a brood of energetic drag daughters under her wing. Unlike them, she sings, but is a terrible lip syncer. Sometimes she takes to the stage as her own sequinny, shady self, sometimes as Mary Poppins, Queen Victoria or The Mad Hatter. |
TrillianTrillian is a whirlwind of unexpected pleasures. She's terrifying and predatory in the best possible way. Internationally recognised, multi-award winning pole dancer and burlesque artist, this doll is your one stop shop of fabulous!
Getting her start in classical ballet at a very early age, she's become a consummate all rounder, experienced in jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, latin ballroom and African jazz. She is also a classical and jazz singer who has toured extensively around the world. |
MisRedLike a freshly picked apple MisRed Delicious is juicy, sweet and a little bit…. Tart. She delights audiences with her insatiable need to tease using her talent for concealing and revealing.

Fanciforia Foxglove
Fanciforia Foxglove is one part showgirl, two parts clown, a dash of angel and a splash of devil. With looks to rival Jayne Mansfield and comic timing to match Lucille Ball, Fanciforia flawlessly combines slapstick comedy and period-perfect style. She evokes old-Hollywood, paying energetic tribute to stars like Lucille Ball and homage to classic bump n’ grind era burlesque.
Lured onto the burlesque stage in 2011, she has since become a tour de force in her own right. In 2015 she was the first to win the national title of Supreme Grand Tease NZ and has subsequently snapped up several Golden Garter Awards too. |
Dahlia Dangerous
Sweet as sin, sexy as hell and dangerous in the wrong hands Dahlia Dangerous has been captivating and tantalising burlesque audiences with her effortless elegance and dirty bump n' grind since 2013.
She won the coveted title of Queen of the NZ Burlesque Festival 2015 and recently completed a 6 week tour of America and Canada performing in international festivals in New York, New Orleans, Minneapolis and Montreal as a solo performer and as one half of the duo The Ballet School Dropouts. |
Clever Hansel
A gentleman AND a cad.
Prancing prince of the pelvic thrust and king of the crochet codpiece, Clever Hansel started his performance career in a Taiwanese lounge bar at the age of four. He's now somewhat taller. A Wellington-based purveyor of delightfully perverse burlesque, music and cabaret, Hansel has been exposing himself to startled audiences since 2009. Hansel also performs as a member of The Klaus Vermillion Quartet, Wellington's only band of consensual jazz con-artists. His parents know what he gets up to for fun. They have yet to disown him. |
